The Council on Botanical and Horticultural Libraries (CBHL) has awarded The Brother Gardeners their 2010 Annual Literature Award.

Judge Patricia Jonas (Library Director of
the Brooklyn Botanic Garden) called The Brother Gardeners “a thoroughly
engaging narrative for readers of popular history” as well as an entertaining
read “for those with more specialized interest in garden history. Many U.S.
readers will be surprised at how rich this country’s horticultural
contributions were to England’s gardens.”
